Villa Vestre
Villa Vestre is being run by a committed group of sea- and seafood enthusiasts. We took over this gem in 2017 and have since that renovated the house and made major upgrades. Our vision is to give people unique experiences and memories for life. At this place, in the villa and in the boathouse, you will get a journey back in time.
Seafood and hospitality has been important to the story of this place, and we will continue to do so: our guests will have wonderful seafood and local food experiences . Our guest has until now varied from royalties to lovely local striles, and this will continue - Vestre is a place where everyone should feel welcome.

The Villa`s floor plan
We have focused on keeping the house and rooms as authentic as possible, so we have not changed the original floor plan. The rooms are small and cozy, and practically furnished.
The livingroom
On the main floor of the villa you will find the living room. Here we have brought out the old timber walls and given them lots of love in the form of grinding, washing and oil. The old pictures on the walls are of our ancestors, who also happened to be associated with this place.
This room has a very special harmony and atmosphere. Here you can have cozy social moments or just enjoy the crackling of the wood burning in the stove…
The bedrooms
The villa has 6 bedrooms with a total of 16 permanent beds. We also have 4 extra beds available. Five of the bedrooms are in the second floor and one at the main floor. All bedrooms are painted in soft and harmonious colors, selected from the color map of 1920. The beds are comfortable, with comfy duvets and down comforters.
Bedroom 1, Aurora
This is the only bedroom on the ground floor. Two beds in a lovely king size bed. Two windows gives nice daylight into this room. From the window towards west you can see the small forest behind the house. If you open the window towards north you can follow the sweet little bird that lives in the hedge, which works diligently all day long.
Bedroom 2, Anemone
This cute little bedroom is located in front of the house. It has 3 beds: one single bed and one double bed. The two windows gives lovely views of the property and the bathing bay. Our tip is not to take down the blinds so that you can wake up to a beautiful sight when the sun rises in the east.
Bedroom 3, Tåke
A cozy room facing north. 3 beds in a comfortable family bunk, a double bed (150 cm) and single bed (90 cm). The picture on the wall was bought in a second hand store in Bergen and was the christmas gift for a little girl in the 50's.
Bedroom 4, Morild
A lovely family room facing north. 3 beds in a family bunk, double bed (150 cm) and single bed (90 cm). In this room you will find several old treasures.
Bedroom 5, Fjord
This is the villa's master bedroom and is perhaps the room with the best views. From here you can see the charming barn, the south side of the property and the fjord on the other side of the islet. It is a family room with 3 beds: one single bed and one king size bed.
Bedroom 6, Luna
This cozy little bedroom is located on the back side of bedroom 5, in other words you have to go through bedroom 5 to get there. It has one double bed (150 cm) and is perfect for children or two good friends.
Kitchen and dining room
The kitchen is located just inside the dining room, so those who stand and cook are included in the company around the table. The dining table can easily be made larger with flaps, and extra tables are available for larger groups.
The kitchen is somewhat more modernly equipped than it was normal in 1918. The villa has a dishwasher, a stove with integrated thermometer, combination stove with micro and large cooktop with adjustable zones.
The boathouse
The boathouse can be rented for private events with staffing. It is a charming venue where we have retained the authentic style with old fishing gear and equipment. Cozy lighting, sheepskin traps and candles give a special and good atmosphere.
The Barn
The barn is currently only upgraded on the outside. It is only used as storage space and is therefore not available for our guests.
